Board of Directors



The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Twin Cities Free-Net. The Board is elected and operates in accordance with TCFN's Bylaws.

The board generally meets at 6:00 PM on the third Thursday of each month at the Free-Net's workshop in Northeast Minneapolis. The January and September meetings are open to the public. Members of the public may attend other meetings by request. Contact the board chair if you plan to attend a meeting.

Committees of the Board

Board members are expected to be active in at least one committee.

Hardware Committee:
Suggests ways to improve the Free-Net server.
Chair: Jeff Lehman
Computer Recycling Committee:
Works toward the goal in our strategic plan, of distributing recycled computer equipment to those in need.
Chair: Ben Stallings
New Technologies Committee:
Investigates the potential of new technologies for furthering the Free-Net's mission.
Chair: Matthew Genelin
Nominating Committee:
Maintains a list of potential board members in case a seat needs to be filled mid-term. Presents a slate of candidates each year when terms expire. Oversees the elections each year.

Promotion Committee:
Oversees efforts to promote the Free-Net and its projects, via press releases, advertisements, or other means.

The terms of the directors expire at the close of the annual meeting of the board in January of the years listed below. (See the bylaws for details about the terms and election of directors.)
