Management Committee



The Management Committee provides support and advice to the General Manager regarding the coordination of volunteers and day-to-day operation of the organization as reflected in the Operating Plan. In the event that the General Manager suddenly became unavailable, the Management Committee would oversee the transition to a new General Manager. See also the Digital Access Team, the OrgResources Team, the Conferencing Team, the System Administration Team, and the Dialup Team.

Event Planner Organize periodic "get togethers" for the Free-Net's membership. Experience picking good times and places, placing reservations, writing invitations. Maybe an hour per month. Everyone who attends will love you. Ben Stallings. Replacement needed!
Miscellaneous Data Entry Type in or scan and proofread the piles of paper (usually address lists or surveys) that the Free-Net occasionally needs to work with. Residence within the United States, respect for confidentiality, passion for accuracy. 1 to 10 hours over a week or two. Set your own hours; exercise creativity and handwriting analysis. Legal Counsel Advise the general manager and board about the legal implications of the Free-Net's actions (and inactions). Active practice as a lawyer, interest in nonprofit law. 1 to 2 hours per month. Mark Gleeman.
