General Manager's Report to the Board of Twin Cities Free-Net
May 28, 1998
volunteer reorganization
- Continued efforts to organize committees for revising training materials, teaching the Free-Net to new users, selling the Free-Net to potential sponsors, and creating/revising publicity.
- The former two committees will be meeting next week, while the latter two still await volunteer commitment. The Web committee will meet on June 7, under the leadership of Eric Harvieux and Eva Young.
- Meeting with Tony Calguire on April 25 established that user support is stable for now.
evaluation project
- Results of last month's survey are still being tabulated.
system administration intern
- Tony Stubblebine will arrive in town on Monday afternoon, June 8. He will work 40 hours a week for ten weeks. Anyone interested in meeting with him is encouraged to contact him at stubbleb@tcfreenet.org.
miscellaneous
- Rory McManus has volunteered to create and send a bill to MN E-Democracy, possibly this morning, and to write a script on the SGI to automatically generate bills for any organizational members that exceed their quotas.
- I will meet with Dave Anderson (assistant general manager) tonight to talk about recent progress while filing registration forms in preparation for the renewal project.
