The Rules of Personal
Conduct, according to the ethics of autonomy written
by Dr. Thomas Szasz:
1. Criticize the oppressor, but do not humiliate him. 2. Defend the oppressed, but do not glamorize them. 3. Respect everyone, regardless of merit or position. 4. Bestow admiration and love because it is deserved, not because you need others to protect and love you. 5. Know your enemies; avoid them, if you can; intimidate them if you can't; subdue them if you must.
6. Honor your friends; be loyal to them, if you can; warn them, if you can't.
