Answer questions posted to the Answers conference and e-mailed to you by puzzled people.
Good knowledge of how to use the Free-Net and the machines people use to connect to it, knack for explaining things to beginners, troubleshooting skills.
1-4 hours per week, depending on how the Free-Net is running.
A nearly endless stream of "thank yous" in response to your courteous and helpful advice.

Telephone Support Representative
Check the Free-Net's voicemail line 2-3 times a week and return whatever calls you can. Troubleshoot people's computer problems and answer their questions about the Free-Net over the phone.
Patience, familiarity with the Free-Net and the equipment people use to access it, patience, excellent phone presence, troubleshooting skills, patience, and availability in the afternoon and evening.
1/2 to 1 hour per week.
Talk to interesting people and make them happy.

Familiarize yourself with the workings of Pine, sendmail, and atDot (our Web mail software), and supervise improvements to these programs as needed.
